At the end of November, Lewtan Technologies moved into its gleaming new premises at 15 St Mary at Hill, a stone’s throw from the Monument in the heart of London’s financial district, the City. After spending the past year in what amounted to little more than an overcrowded shoebox, as our US visitors such as Ned Myers, Paul Lambert, Jill Sexton, Nga Nguyen, Catherine Chan, Bill Zola and even Martin Morgan himself will testify, some of us still can’t get over the opulence of the new place (network printer, meeting rooms, kitchen) – a very welcome change!
We will however fondly remember clambering over each others’ desks to get to the windows (don’t ask…!) and the solemn ceremony of the passing-round of the printer cable, to say nothing of the frequent bouts of cabin fever, but I guess you had to be there…
We now number five full-time employees in London – Aloysius Fekete, Antonio Fernandes, Jean Thomas, Jamie Harper and Tony Lee. When you add a new LCF colleague Arun Kumar (next month) and regular visits by Messrs Paradis and Ismail, we can even proudly boast our full complement of eight. In short, we now have a great team in London and a tremendous opportunity to service this growing European market and drive Lewtan’s product suite further into this new space, so let’s hope we don’t get too… comfortable!.
